Grand Rounds: Teach Us Something Lecture Series

7:00 AM to 8:00 AM

VIRTUAL EVENT

All Michigan Medicine faculty, staff and trainees are invited to attend this discussion hosted by the Department of Urology.

The senseless killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis affects us all. It is unspeakable. And yet, we must speak about it.

I invite you to a conversation about race/racism, conscious/unconscious bias and humanity led by Dr. Feranmi Okanlami, Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and PM&R, and Director of Adaptive Sports at the University of Michigan and Dr. Randy Vince (1st year Urologic Oncology/SUO fellow). Both are noted speakers on diversity, equity and inclusion, among other things.

The discussion will be this Thursday June 4th from 7-8am and can be accessed via Zoom. All Michigan Medicine faculty, staff and trainees are invited to attend. Due to the overwhelming response among Departments across the medical school to participate, we have created a Zoom town hall/webinar link that can accommodate large gatherings. The event will be recorded for later viewing for those who cannot attend.

I hope you will join us.
