Dr. Yoon graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from University of California Berkeley with a degree in Bioengineering. Subsequently, he matriculated to David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. During his four years of medical school, he was the medical student council Vice President and assisted in revamping the medical school curriculum. Dr. Yoon’s research interests include clinical outcomes research, cost-effectiveness analysis, and applications of machine learning in medicine. Dr. Yoon is a recipient of the National Endowment for Plastic Surgery grant for his work in using artificial intelligence to improve radiographic detection of upper extremity fractures. He is a research member of the Michigan Center for Hand Outcomes and Innovation Research (M-CHOIR) under the guidance of Dr. Kevin Chung.
