University Hospital Radiation Oncology department has received APEx accreditation from the American Society for Radiation Oncology. Accredited facilities demonstrate and maintain their commitment to policies and procedures, personnel and systems to assure the highest quality and delivery of safe patient care. Working in tandem with our advanced treatment planning systems, we employ multiple imaging and treatment technologies to provide radiation treatment therapies unique to each patient’s disease.

At University Hospital we have 6 linear accelerators, including a dedicated stereotactic unit, a CT simulator and an MRI simulator. We not only offer external beam radiation therapy delivery including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), but also high dose brachytherapy for gynecologic and prostate cancers as well as radioactive microspheres for liver cancers, intravascular brachytherapy and eye plaque brachytherapy,.

In addition to over 14 radiation oncologists, the team at University Hospital also includes medical physicists, medical dosimetrists, radiation therapists, advanced practice professionals, nurses and medical assistants, as well as a patient navigator and child life specialist to help support and navigate our patients journey throughout their care in Radiation Oncology. Our team works closely with medical oncologists and surgeons to provide specialized and comprehensive care to the patients we treat.

Here at University Hospital, we are committed to delivering the highest quality care to patients and providing the most advanced radiation therapy technology and techniques to the patients we have the privilege of caring for.
