Consultation liaison psychiatry fellows, along with all University of Michigan house officers, are represented by the House Officers Association (HOA) and receive excellent benefits and compensation based on a contract negotiated by the HOA. The benefits package includes health, dental, and disability insurance, vacation days and holiday pay, and more.
Salary
Fellow salaries are negotiated by the House Officers Association (HOA) and are consistent across the institution. Our salaries are very competitive and allow fellows flexibility to maintain financial independence. In addition, fellows are provided an additional “lump sum” payment of approximately 8% of the annual salary to encourage savings, although these funds may be used in any manner the fellow wishes.
