Dr. Autumn Rae Florimbio was awarded the Clinical Research Loan Repayment Program (LRP) award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, designed to recruit and retain highly qualified health professionals into research careers. This award is based on an applicant’s potential to build and sustain a research career. The title of her project is “Clarifying Risk and Protective Factors for Cannabis and Polysubstance Use Among Adolescents and Emerging Adults.”

January 9, 2020: M-Health Lab: This drug could save their lives, but less than 2% of them get it.

 Drs. Allison Lin, Amy Bohnert, and colleagues published research in the Journal of General Internal Medicine finding that only 2% of people at risk for an opioid overdose actually are prescribed naloxone.

Dr. Maureen Walton (and colleagues) had a paper titled published in NEJM in early 2019 titled The Major Causes of Death in Children and Adolescents in the United States. The research came in at number 84 on this year's Altmetric Top 100 list in 2019, putting their paper in the top 0.007% of all discussed research this year!
