Michigan Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry is pleased to present a webinar to help support those experiencing heightened driving anxiety.

Amaxophobia, or fear of driving, is more common than you might think. About 66% of drivers will experience anxiety while on the road, and many find that their anxiety makes it challenging to engage in regular daily activities like running errands across town or visiting their friends and family. The good news is that there are effective treatments to help people feel more comfortable while driving so they can lead fuller, richer lives.

Join us as Michigan Medicine experts Hans Schroder, Ph.D. and Tyler Grove, Ph.D. break down the common causes of driving anxiety as well as effective treatment options like exposure therapy. They'll also be joined by Pat Blair, a person who has experienced driving anxiety and will share the story of their treatment journey.
