David Wolinsky was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and did his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University, where he majored in English Literature. Following a two-year period working at the Vaccine Research Center of the NIH, he returned to Chicago to attend medical school at Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his Psychiatry residency at the University of Michigan, where will also be completing his Addiction Psychiatry fellowship. Aside from learning about accurately diagnosing and effectively treating Substance Use Disorders, his interests include cooking, watching movies and TV, and exploring the restaurant and bar scene with friends in Ann Arbor (pre-Covid).
