My name is Stephen and I’m originally from Cupertino, CA. I graduated from Rush Medical College and wanted to stay in the Midwest for residency. When I was applying for residency, I was looking for a program that offered a wide array of training experiences and I found that at the University of Michigan and Ann Arbor VA hospital systems. I was interested in fellowships in addiction, consultation-liaison, and forensics and chose U-M because they offer all the accredited fellowships. In addition to providing a robust clinical training, the residency program has given me numerous opportunities at professional development including research projects and the healthcare administrations scholars program. During my spare time, I enjoy running through the Arboretum, playing tennis with my co-residents, checking out the foodie scene in downtown Ann Arbor, and going to rock concerts in Detroit.
