Welcome to the University of Michigan Hospital Medicine Program. Our team of approximately 200 faculty, advanced practice providers, and staff are dedicated to inpatient general medicine, teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities - all centered on inpatient care.

JOIN OUR TEAM - Faculty Recruitment Opportunities

Our clinical programs continuously innovate and span the University Hospital, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital, and the Ann Arbor VA Health System located two miles from the main campus. In addition to caring for complex general medical patients on general wards, a subset of faculty also care for subspecialty populations including patients with renal or bone-marrow transplants, and/or hematologic malignancies. These partnerships with subspecialties and unique areas, are part of what makes Hospital Medicine at Michigan so special.

With multiple clinical service lines, a dedicated fellowship program in Hospital Medicine (that includes Quality Improvement and Research pathways), and educational activities that span undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students, the division is a “Leader and Best” in Hospital Medicine locally, regionally, and nationally.
