Clinical Programs

Outpatient Clinical Experiences:
Longitudinal clinical experiences are in our Adolescent/Young Adult Specialty Clinic, Pediatric and Adolescent Gender Services Clinic, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Clinic, the Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools Clinics, the Corner Health Center in Ypsilanti and the General Pediatrics Clinic at the Ypsilanti Health Center.  Other clinical rotations include our Comprehensive Eating Disorders Program, Sports Medicine, University of Michigan Addiction Treatment Services, and the Eating and Body Image Concerns Clinic at University Health Services.

Inpatient Clinical Experience:
We have a busy Adolescent Medicine Consult service at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and fellows are on-service for 1 week per month on average, along with one of the Adolescent Medicine attending physicians.  During on-service weeks, fellows and faculty also take call from home in the evenings and on the weekends to help with questions coming in about in-hospital patients, our clinic patients, or from providers across the state that have concerns about adolescents. Interested fellows can also do rotations on the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Unit or on the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Consult Service.
