Welcome Letter

We are excited that you are interested in learning more about our program.

The Department of Pediatrics at Michigan Medicine is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion and are united against any forms of racism, discrimination, and injustice in our community. Pediatric training at Michigan offers the acuity, volume, and complexity of a large referral center within a supportive, individualized educational environment. This balance creates a training experience which ensures that our residents are prepared to become leaders in pediatric medicine.

Our faculty are eager to teach, mentor, and participate in robust research programs with our residents. Every sub-specialty within pediatrics is represented in C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and our faculty are committed to helping each resident discover and successfully prepare for their long-term career goals.

We are proud of the way our current residents have adapted to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic to prioritize exemplary patient care and innovative methods of virtual education. They have shown resilience in personal and professional settings that has benefitted the children and families we serve.

If you have any questions about our program, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are proud of the training we provide and would love to learn more about you and your interests!

Sincerely,

Donna M. Martin, M.D., Ph.D.
Chair, Department of Pediatrics
