The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism has a long-standing tradition of excellence in patient care and research in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, resident and fellow education, and basic and clinical research training.

Our program is renowned for expertise in diabetes and carbohydrate metabolism, disorders of growth and puberty, obesity, neuroendocrine disorders, and adrenal and thyroid disorders. Our division has been chosen to be the exclusive provider of Newborn Endocrinology Follow-Up Services for the Neonatal Screening Program of the State of Michigan.

Our Research endeavor is recognized by continued support from the National Institutes of Health, The State of Michigan, and other extramural agencies.

Education

We have an active Fellowship program, accredited by the ACGME, that prepares fellows for successful careers in academic and clinical pediatric endocrinology.

View information about the Pediatric Endocrinology Training Program (PETP).  This program provides two years of intensive postdoctoral research training for M.D. and Ph.D. trainees.
