About Me:
I was born in Bulgaria and moved to the US with my family when I was young. Growing up, we moved around a lot so I lived in many different places, but we eventually ended up in Ann Arbor, where I did middle and high school. I did my undergrad at Stanford and graduated in 2017 with degrees in Biology and History. After that I worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator before matriculating to the University of Michigan Medical School. I have a strong background in clinical and health services research and have an MPH in Epidemiology as well. I'm interested in neonatal and pediatric critical care, and I also love reading, writing, and spending time with my husband, family and friends, and my dog Winston!
Why Michigan?
I chose Michigan because it's an exceptionally strong general pediatrics training program with an emphasis on bread and butter peds education, and it's also the tertiary specialty referral center for a huge regional area. This combo plus the program's proximity to my friends and family made Michigan the perfect choice for me!
